Taoist Master Ma Dan Yang was an expert in the acupuncture technique
and selected the points of the body that are known as Ma Dan Yang Shi
Er Zhen (Ma Dan Yang 12 points of Acupuncture). These points are: Zhu
San Li, Nei Ting, Qu Chi, He Gu, Wei Zhong, Cheng Shan, Tai Chong, Kun
Lun, Huan Tiao, Yang Ling Quan, Tong Li, Lie Que. With these few points
(still in use today) is possible to treat and defeat diseases in our
body. In Chinese traditional medicine, these 12 points are also known
as, Qian Jin Xue (the 12 Points of Acupuncture that are as Valuable
as Thousands Liang of Gold).
The
12 points of acupuncture of Master Ma Dan Yang are: Zhu San Li (¡°Three
Distances," belongs to the Stomach meridian), Nei Ting (¡°Inner
Compartment," belongs to the Stomach meridian), Qu Chi (¡°Curve
of the Pool," belongs to the Large Intestine meridian), He Gu (¡°Bottom
of the Valley," belongs to the Large Intestine meridian), Wei Zhong
(¡°Perfect Balance," belongs to the Bladder meridian), Cheng Shan
(¡°Support Mountain," belongs to the Bladder meridian), Tai Chong
(¡°Supreme Assault," belongs to the Liver meridian), Kun Lun (¡°Kuen
Loun Mountain," belongs to the Bladder meridian), Huan Tiao (¡°Jump
of Waist," belongs to the Gall Bladder meridian), Yang Ling Quan
(¡°Yang Hill Fountain," belongs to the Gall Bladder meridian),
Tong Li (¡°Communication with the Interior," belongs to the Heart
meridian), Lie Que (¡°Cliff of Breaches," belongs to the Lung meridian).
